Rajat Roy is a historical fiction author and business consultant based in Sydney, Australia. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, he blends analytical precision with a deep interest in the untold stories of colonial India. His debut novel, The Traitorβs Bargain, explores the fall of Bengal and the rise of the East India Company through the eyes of rulers, conspirators, rebels, merchants, and men of war. It is the first in a planned trilogy tracing the arc of British conquest and resistance across the subcontinent.
When not writing, Rajat shares reflections on colonial history with a growing community of readers and researchers interested in the legacies of empire.
